Simultaneous interpretation
This method is most often used during international conferences, seminars, congresses, and other similar events. During simultaneous interpretation, two interpreters typically work from a soundproof booth with windows through which they can see the speakers. The presenters speak into a microphone, and the interpreter hears and follows their speech through headphones, while simultaneously translating into his/her own microphone
Consecutive interpretation
Consecutive interpretation is commonly used in negotiations, trainings, presentations, consultations, meetings, excursions, and similar events. During consecutive interpretation, the speaker makes logical pauses so that the interpreter can translate the thought expressed by him/her into the foreign language. Consecutive interpretation is most often needed at events involving a small number of people, such as negotiations, presentations, short meetings, and similar events.
Interpretation by phone
Before such an interpretation takes place, the interpreter contacts the customer to clarify their needs, the purpose and topic of the conversation, and to prepare a plan for the discussion. The interpreter then introduces themselves over the phone and informs all parties about who will be speaking and the subject of the conversation. At the same time, the interpreter listens to the speaker on the phone and translates their speech for the customer, as well as translating what the customer wants to convey to the interlocutor.
